Miss Daria R. Rancifer
Principal
Miss Daria Rancifer is a native of East Chicago, Indiana. She is a visionary leader who brings extensive experience spanning K-12 grades in public and charter schools. She has served the Northwest Indiana community as a mentor, teacher, musician, author, and educational leader for nearly two decades. Miss Rancifer earned a B.S. Education from Calumet College of St. Joseph, B.S in in Humanities from Indiana University, M.S. in Educational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. and Principal Licensure in Indiana and Illinois from Indiana Wesleyan University. She minored in Music Education, African American Studies, and Reading Development at Indiana University. She has made a life commitment to advancing the lives of young people.
Miss Rancifer exemplifies positive, professional leadership that makes a difference in the lives of students and staff. Miss Rancifer is always focused on student success. She has led the implementation for new programs and best practices for teaching and learning. She enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues to maximize learning opportunities for students and families that she serves. She understands how important of a role the school plays in making sure the children in her community are receiving a quality education. Miss Rancifer would like to welcome all families of the East Chicago Cardinal Nation to another spectacular school year of learning and academic growth. On a personal note, Miss Rancifer is overjoyed at the opportunity to serve and lead in the community where she was educated as a former student and graduate of East Chicago public schools. One of her favorite quotes comes from Rosa Parks, " You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right."
